On August 15, 2014, COERR Mae Hong Son has organized the herb farming training program for 22 patients with mental illness under the care of International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Ban Mai Nai Soi Camp. The program serves as therapeutic activities for the refugees to acquire planting skills and knowledge about various kinds of herbs and their uses, propagation of herbs and other plants, including seeds selection. Beneficiaries are 22 refugees consisting of 13 male and 9 female.
This training provides skills in plant propagation, and planting in different types of containers, pots, soil bed, pipes, etc. Drip irrigation is used in order to save water and labor. |
